No Magic Formula For Success

There is no magic formula that will lead you to success. No slight of hand or trick that will bring a great achievement your way.

People tend to want the quick fix and they want it yesterday but the only way real and lasting success happens is with moment by moment, day by day work.

It’s not glamorous and is sometimes messy but if you set your mind on the vision that you have, show up and do the work daily you will be closer to it at the end of the day than you were yesterday.

Control your effort and your attitude today and then do that again tomorrow and continue to repeat it.  Moment by moment.  Day by day.

It’s not magic.
It’s reality.
It’s the key to lasting success.

What’s Important Now

Legendary football coach Lou Holtz coined the acronym W.I.N. and asked his players to think about “What’s Important Now” at least 35 times per day.

What would thinking about W.I.N. 35 times per day require from you and me?

Discipline
-Be committed to what’s important to us.

Action
-See a need, meet the need.

Choice
-If we make 30,000 a day let 35 of them be to refocus into the here and now.

Presence
-Be in the moment. It is the most important one.

It won’t always be easy but often times the best things for us are hard. If it were easy everyone would do it.

It may be hard but think of the impact that focusing on W.I.N. will have for us and those we are loving and leading.

The Big Time Is Today

My good friend and Hall of Fame basketball coach Mitch Osborn always says “Make the big time where you are.”

The same can be said about today Friday, June 17, 2022. Today needs you to treat it like the most important day of your lifetime.
You never know. It may be just that for you or somebody you come in contact with.

That may seem a little dramatic but it is a reminder to be present today. Be in tune with what is needed from you today.

Someone may need some encouragement and it may be needed at 5:00 PM on Friday afternoon. Will you be their encourager?

The big time is the moment you are in.
The big time is right now.
The big time is today.

Make A Masterpiece Today

How do you approach today?

Do you just want to survive it or do you believe there is something special waiting to be done?

There are action words in this great John Wooden quote and the first word sets the tone.

MAKE tells us that it is up to us as to what we create and do with the day. Don’t hope or want to. Take action and Make your masterpiece.

EACH DAY tells us that today is a new day, a new opportunity. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised so focus on what you can do today.

The word YOUR is a reminder that what you do with today is your responsibility. Don’t be controlled by what others try to do to bring you down.

MASTERPIECE in Latin means great work.  Expect greatness today out of yourself and you will inspire others to do the same.

Create something meaningful today.
