Manage The Endings

A first impression is important but I believe that the most memorable moment of an experience is the end.

How you manage the endings makes an impact and really matters.

You key up for the end of a game, the final scene in a movie or play, or the closing chord of an uplifting song.  The endings matter and oftentimes are what you remember.

Crucial conversations may start tense but can end positively if you focus on how you want things to end.  How you conclude a conversation can lift someone up and produce a positive experience for both of you.

Living and leading is not always easy but if you operate with the end in mind your impact and your legacy will be far reaching.

Manage and be intentional with the endings of the moments that you are given and lead all the way to the end of them.

Lead From Your Heart

Have you ever had a bad morning?

You know, the morning when their is not enough milk for the cereal and then there is no bread for toast?

The traffic on the way to work is slow? 

Some days things seem to just pile on before you even open up your door for work.

When you get to work it’s like you almost need a break but there your people are.

Needing you and your leadership.

Many days the challenge for us is to get ourself out of the way so we can focus on what other people need.  If we can do that we are able to serve and lead them more effectively.

Don’t base your leadership on what you may need or on how your day has started or is going. 

Lead from your heart focused on the needs of others and your day will immediately begin to be better and so will the people you lead.
