Day 23: Effort That Endures

Change demands effort—commitment, guts.  Colossians 3:23 (ESV) says, “…work heartily, as for the Lord…” When you slack off—becone stagnate—effort will  revive you. What do you need to push through?  God honors sweat for Him. It’s not easy—but it is holy.

I’ve coasted, lost ground—work woke me up.  My 5K training needs it—yours too.  Remember , your 5K is whatever you are pursuing to do.  God’s in every strain—He’s there.

How will you commit?  It’s kingdom work—your character grows too.  Trust Him—He fuels it.  What requires your all?  Step up—He’s crafting you through it.  Day by day.  Stone by stone.  Keep stacking them.

Questions:

  1. What requires your effort?
  2. How will you commit?

Day 22: The Eternal Anchor

Jesus is steady—life isn’t. Psalm 18:2 (ESV) calls Him “my rock…”  What’s rocking you?  He’s your anchor—unchanging and sure.  Release worry—He’s got you.

When my mom faced her storm—trust held her;  it holds me and can hold you.   He’s unshaken—yesterday, today, forever.  When fear creeps in He stays.

Are you shaken by something? Let go—He’s bigger.   How will you trust?  Control is a myth.  He is your truth, your rock.

Rest in His strength—it’s unshakable.  He never sleeps.  He never slumbers.  (Psalm 121:4). What will you release today?  He’s your peace—anchor there.

Questions:

  1. How does He steady you?
  2. What worry can you release?

Day 21: Flowing with Purpose

Life’s a river—adapt or stall. Romans 8:28 (ESV) assures, “…all things work together for good…”  Have you resisted turns?  Going with the flow can help you to be stronger and wiser. What change can you ride?  God can use it for good.

Past changes have crushed me, then they helped to grow me.  Current ones—remote work, changes in life—do too.  Are you fighting?  Step in—His current’s safe and He is there to help calm the waters.

How has change shaped you?  Trust Him—change provides a purpose, it is not not a punishment.  Step into the water and flow forward—He’s your guide and He is good.

Questions:

  1. How has change strengthened you?
  2. What can you accept?

Day 20: Strength Beyond Me

You can’t change alone—God knew it, promising the Spirit (John 14:26, ESV). I’ve tried solo—flopped hard.  He’s still there. Where do you need help?  Ask today—He’s your Helper.

I’ve pushed without prayer—burned out. The Spirit guides and empowers.  Are you struggling?  Lean in—He’s faithful.  My remote work days can tempt laziness—He nudges me up when I forget that I work for an audience of One.  What’s your battle?  Don’t grit it out—give it up.  Let Him help you.

How will you seek Him?  He’s teaching me—every step is His.  Transformation is a team effort—let Him carry you.  What a teammate to have on your team.  Ask now—He’s ready.

We’re stacking stones…but we don’t have to do it alone.

Questions:

  1. Where do you need help?
  2. Have you asked today?

Day 19: Building Victory Daily

My 5K dream lives in daily wins—fewer steps some days, but forward. Galatians 6:9 (ESV) urges, “…not grow weary of doing good…” Every effort counts—God sees.  What’s your win today?  Stack them—small builds big.  Consistency’s quiet power transforms.

Every walk, jog, and run is a brick—the finish line gets a little closer.  Are you weary in your daily walk with God?  Don’t quit—He’s cheering.

I’ve seen people quit on their dreams—half steps still move you.  The Iowa winters cut steps—there are still wins.

What’s your 5K?  What are you trying to accomplish?  How will you persist?

Growth is in the efforts of each day.  In your Christian walk God is in the mundane—every choice matters.  Trust Him—your stack is growing.  What’s your next victory?  Keep going—He’s crafting something you likely can’t imagine.

Questions:

  1. What’s one win you can stack today?
  2. How will you stay at it?
