With The Masters Tournament underway, I find myself doing what I often do this time of year—watching golf, not just on a Sunday afternoon, but each day of the tournament.
I not only enjoy watching the great shot making and beauty of Augusta National, but also the interactions between the golfer and their caddy.
It got me thinking… wouldn’t it be incredible if we all had a caddy walking beside us each day?
Better yet—what if we chose to be that kind of presence for someone else?
You can hear it at Augusta—simple, timely words spoken with belief:
“Love it, buddy.” “Believe in it.” “Great job.” “You got this.” “Perfect. Do it.” “Go for it.”
They’re just words… but spoken at the right moment, they steady the mind and lift the heart. They remind the golfer they’re not alone. Sometimes, the most valuable thing a caddy does is help them slow down, refocus, and choose wisely.
And then there’s the unseen role—they carry the bag. They carry the weight.
Scripture reminds us of this same calling:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Maybe today, you need a caddy. But maybe even more importantly… someone around you does.
Be that voice of encouragement. Instill confidence. Help someone slow down and think. Carry a little of their load.
Because when you live this way… you’re not just playing the course well— you’re living the life God designed.
Be Blessed!
I’m cheering for you.
