Stacking Stones Devotional

Day 16: Humble Like a Child

Jesus calls us to childlike humility (Matthew 18:3, ESV)—teachable, servant-hearted.  It bucks culture’s pride, but it’s worth chasing.  Be a “servant of all” (Mark 9)—it’s freedom.  How can you bow low today?

Kids trust, learn, love without pretense—God wants that in us.  We’ve all shown pride, seeking credit—that is empty noise.

Humility is strength—counter-cultural, divine.  Are you chasing being the “greatest” or serving all?  I’ve stumbled here, but children show us—pure faith wins.

Pursue it—reflect Him more.  It’s not a weakness; it’s power in His design.  How will you live this?  I’ve seen pride fall, but humility rises.

Start small—a kind act, a listening ear. God’s call is clear—be little, be His.  What’s your step today?

Questions:

  1. How can you show childlike humility today?
  2. What does being a “servant of all” mean to you?
