Day 1: Dreaming and Determination

What’s stirring in your soul? What do you want to accomplish or change? Maybe it’s a dream like mine—running my first 5K—or something deeper, like growing closer to God. Big changes don’t swoop in overnight; they’re built on small victories stacked patiently over time. I started with a single walk, unsure but willing.
Philippians 3:14 (ESV) captures this: “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Paul’s words remind us that God’s calling us upward, but it’s the daily grind—those 10-15 minutes of effort—that carries us there.
Think about it: what excites you enough to move? Are you ready to put in the work? For me, that 5K isn’t just about running—it’s about proving that small steps, fueled by faith, can conquer big doubts.
God honors our persistence when it’s aimed at His glory. You don’t need to sprint; you just need to start. Maybe it’s a prayer, a kind deed, or a new habit—something small today that whispers, “I’m in this.” I’ve seen folks stall, waiting for the perfect moment, but perfection is a myth. Action is what counts.
Imagine where consistent faith could take you—a life transformed, reflecting His purpose. It’s not about grand leaps but tiny, trusting steps. My 5K dream started with a decision—yours can too. What’s your goal? What’s holding you back? God’s waiting to walk with you—take that first move today and see where He leads.
